What a wonderful surprise to have a real snow event, complete with power outages. Tahoe is back! Let March madness continue as we spring forward this weekend.

Yes, it is time to give up an hour of sleep overnight Saturday so you can see more daylight. Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour when you get up Sunday morning, March 8.

The Women’s Club of North Tahoe will host a luncheon featuring Tony Tuoto at noon on Monday, March 16, at Tomaato’s. The presentation by Tuoto will be on health through essential oils. To attend, RSVP to Florine Kubal by Thursday, March 12, at 775-831-9235.

Birthdays to celebrate this week: Jerry Hagy on March 5, a “big” birthday for Diane Finegan on March 6, and Steve King on March 8. And a huge shout-out to Bonanza/Sierra Sun Editor Kevin MacMillan, as his birthday is March 9.

The Deal or Steal this week is to attend all of the SnowFest! events on Saturday, March 7. This includes a ski event at Diamond Peak, and of course the parade in Kings Beach.
