Get ready for traditional Memorial Day weekend weather at Lake Tahoe — rain and even snow always arrives to celebrate with us. Also, please take time to remember the purpose of the long weekend and honor who lost their lives defending our freedom.

The Incline Village/Crystal Bay Historical Society will host History Happy Hour Sierra Stories: Tales of Dreamers, Schemers, Bigots & Rogues with Sierra College historian and Sierra Nevada native son Gary Noy at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, in the Twain Room at the History Exhibit. This is located in same building as Starbucks, and light refreshments will be available.

Attend the free community forum, Current Thoughts: The Economy 2015 sponsored by the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Donald W. The annual Classy Garage Sale, hosted by the North Lake Tahoe Community Health Care Auxiliary is Saturday, June 13.
