It is time to put out the Welcome June sign. We have experienced some very strange weather recently, and we would like to begin our barbecues, garage/yard sales, and spend time out on the trails and the lake. Sunshine please!

Join the Entrepreneurial Program with the award winning entrepreneurs at SNC Tahoe at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 3. Students, community members and mentors are all invited to attend this event. For information contact or call Kendra Wong at 775-881-1733.

At 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at The Chateau is the Lake Tahoe School Crystal Ball gala, “Reach for the Stars.” The annual fundraiser features silent and live auctions. More information on tickets, sponsorship opportunities and auction items can be found by visiting

Current Thoughts: The Economy 2015 is a free community forum sponsored by the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation at 5:30 pm on Thursday, June 11, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center. The event is free but space is limited so please make a reservation at or call Jean Eick at 775-832-5645.

The North Lake Tahoe Community Health Care Auxiliary annual Classy Garage Sale is Saturday, June 13. To make donations call Karen Kuehnis at 775-833-3244 or Jean Klein at 775-350-4406. The Deal or Steal this week is at the Farmers Market at Tunnel Creek from 4-7 p.m. every Thursday. The market features farm fresh local and regional organic produce, breads, pastries, kettlecorn, gourmet nuts, olive oil, fresh fish, and hand-crafted products such as soy candles, soaps and bath products.
