Attempted murder charged in Tahoe City stabbing
An argument between two roommates escalated into bloody violence Saturday when one roommate allegedly turned a knife on the other.
Timothy Stilletto, 45, allegedly stabbed his roommate between 3:30 and 4 p.m. on March 1 at the roommates’ Tahoe City residence on Pine Avenue.
Stilletto was booked into the Placer County jail in Auburn on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats.
At this time, no bail is posted for Stilletto’s release.
The victim, whose name and identity had not released by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, suffered three injuries from the knife ” one abrasion and two cuts that needed medical treatment.
The victim received seven stitches in his ear and seven staples in his head to contain two of the wounds, said Detective Corie Quillinan. The victim has since been released from medical supervision.
The case remains under investigation.
“The question was how was the knife used,” Quillinan said. “Was it open or was it closed?”
