Ayurvedic community offerings blossoming at Tahoe Yoga and Wellness Center
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Tahoe Yoga and Wellness Center, located at 10770 Donner Pass Road in Truckee, is now offering an Ayurveda Community Walk-In Clinic every Friday.
Jeremy Ann Anderson, clinical ayurvedic specialist at TYWC, is available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to discuss your health questions from a holistic and Ayurvedic perspective.
A visit can include Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis and tongue diagnosis, as well as specific dietary, herbal and lifestyle recommendations. The walk-in clinic is offered for $2/minute, with a sliding-scale available for those who qualify, allowing Ayurvedic healing to be accessible to all in our community
Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga and the traditional healing system from India, is translated as the “science of life.” The oldest continually practiced medical system in the world, Ayurveda is a truly holistic science, treating the cause of disease at its roots and allowing healing to occur on all levels, body, mind and spirit. Ayurveda can bring us back into balance with nature and within ourselves. Through this ancient wisdom we can gain a greater understanding of who we are, and that which creates harmony and disharmony.
Ayurveda recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and honors the many factors that combine to determine who we are. The Ayurvedic path to wellness is customized to suit the specific mind-body type (Prakruti) and unique set of circumstances of each client.
Complete, in-depth Ayurvedic consultations are available Fridays through Tuesdays by appointment. Jeremy can design and support you on personalized healing journey that may include: nutrition for your specific mind-body type, herbal support, lifestyle recommendations, aromatherapy, color therapy, Ayurvedic body therapies, marma chikitsa (Ayurvedic acupressure), cleansing programs, Pancha Karma, asana, mantra, pranayama, meditation, and wellness coaching.
Jeremy also offers monthly community workshops on a variety of Ayurvedic health topics.
A three-week guided Ayurvedic Community Spring Cleanse begins at TYWC on March 31 and goes through April 12.
Spring and fall cleansing is an important component of creating and maintaining optimal health and well-being. Jeremy has found it is especially helpful to go through this cleansing process in a guided and supported environment that is also fun and educational.
This profound science is her passion and she is honored to serve this community through these various Ayurvedic means to help meet each individual where they are at on their path toward vibrant health and peace of mind.
Jeremy graduated from the California College of Ayurveda in 2005. She also received certification from the American Institute of Vedic Studies in Ayurvedic Health Sciences and is a faculty member at California College of Ayurveda. Contact her at 530-550-8333 or visit http://www.tahoeyoga.com.
