Barnett, William (Billy)

Born June 8, 1948 in Klamath Falls, Ore. Died May 26, 2008 Memorial Day, in Kings Beach. William grew up in Santa Rosa, graduated from Sonoma State University with honors and a BA in Business Administration. He was assistant planner for the City of Sonoma and a member of the National Guard form 1970-76. Barnett received a purple heart for service in Viet Nam.

Billy was love. He loved to ride his Harley. He loved his cats. He loved his friends and he was loved by all who knew him.

Billy is survived by his brother, David R. Barnett; his sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Barnett; his son and daughter Aaron and Erica Rottenberger, Deborah Barnett, Rebekah Baize, Jennifer Barnett, David M. Barnett, Sarah Barnett and Christy Barnett, and 11 great nieces and nephews.

A memorial motorcycle ride around Lake Tahoe and gathering of family and friends was held June 21. Please make all memorial contributions to your personal charity in Billy’s name.
