Beverly Marlow in stable condition

According to Claudia Powers, a friend of the family, and David Gotschall, the General Manager of Truckee Tahoe Airport, Beverly Marlow, who was involved in a plane crash on July 4, is in stable condition in the ICU at Washoe Medical Center in Reno.

Marlow “will probably be there over a month” and suffered “over 80 broken bones,” according to Powers. Both Powers and Gotschall received correspondence from Karyl Marlow, Beverly’s daughter-in-law. Karyl and her husband, Bruce, could not be reached for comment.

Gotschall said he received an e-mail from the Marlow family, which said Beverly was still in pain, but “is healing well” and “has done astonishingly well.” According to Gotschall, the e-mail also said she has gone through several surgeries.

Richard Marlow, Beverly’s wife, was also involved in the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Nevada County Coroner’s office. The coroner’s office said that the cause of death was determined as “multiple blunt force trauma,” but the official coroner’s report is not yet available.
