Big Brothers Big Sisters plans 27th annual fundraiser

GRASS VALLEY, Calif. and#8212; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County and North Lake Tahoe is hosting its 27th annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction on Saturday, Nov. 21.

The fundraiser will be from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Grass Valley Veteranand#8217;s Hall and features local wines, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a raffle that includes a 12-foot kayak and Specialized Hardrock mountain bike.

Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased at or at the Coldwell Banker/Grass Roots Realty offices at 855 Sutton Way, Grass Valley, or 11354 Pleasant Valley Road, Penn Valley.

They are also available at the door for $25 per person.

To buy a $10 raffle ticket or to donate an item to the silent auction, call the Grass Valley office at (530) 273-2227.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nationwide mentoring program pairing adults with children in Nevada County between the ages of 6 and 18.
