Brock, Richard Buron

Richard Buron Brock passed away peacefully Jan. 3 at Tahoe Forest Extended Care Center, Truckee, where he had resided for the last two years and had stolen the hearts of the loving staff. He was born Nov. 19, 1929 in Santa Monica, Calif. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He enjoyed golf, but his favorite passion was his family. He said his greatest accomplishment in life were his children. He was a devoted father and was always there for his children. He is survived by his children Rod Brock, Chad Brock and Robin Coon of Truckee; Holly Rachal of Bakersfield, Calif.; their mother, Katie Brock of Reno, Nev., and eight grandchildren: Matt, Bo, Danielle, Colton, Korinna, Kassy, Austin and Ellissa.

A Memorial Service will be held Jan. 12, 2007 at 11a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 11605 Deerfield Drive, Truckee. Inurnment will occur at Sierra Mountain Cemetery, Truckee, Calif.
