Burgess, Toni
Truckee resident Toni Burgess died in her home Dec. 8, 2007, after a short illness.
Toni was born in Fairhope, Ala. Her family moved to California when she was a small child. She has lived in Truckee for 20 years. She and her late husband, Chuck Burgess, were the owners of Madd Duck Signs for many years in Truckee. Toni was also a ski instructor for many of the ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area.
She is survived by her son Joshua and her sister Louise.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
