Business Briefs: BNI in Tahoe Donner, Truckee Donner Chamber Labor Law Seminar
Let’s talk business referals
BNI, an international networking organization specializing in business referrals among members, is holding a Visitors’ Day Jan. 20 for the Mountain High BNI chapter. BNI is a great way for businesses to experience growth by maximizing their marketing efforts through word of mouth.
The organization generated more than 5,500,00 referrals in 2007 alone, which generated more than $2.2 billion for buiness members.
BNI was founded in 1985 by Ivan R. Misner, PH. D., author of “The World’s Best Known Marketing Secret,” “Business by Referral,” “Masters of Networking” and “Masters of Success.”
“Our style of networking is based on the philosophy ‘givers gain’- if I help you, then you’ll help me and we’ll all do better business,” says Misner.
Visitors’ Day will be Jan. 20 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at The Northwoods Club House, Tahoe Donner, 11509 Northwoods Blvd., Truckee. John Lisle, BNI Director, will share information about BNI and about why BNI is the number one referral organization.
Anyone interested in attending the meeting is welcome. Please call Carmen Carr for reservations at (530) 550-5192. For more information about BNI, please visit http://www.bni.com.
