Wandamp;T Graphix announced they are celebrating 20 years in business. Wes and Tonya Beyer opened their company in 1988 specializing in custom screen printed t-shirts. Over time they added services including embroidery, trophies, awards and plaques all produced in-house at 10434 River Park Place, Truckee. Check out the all-female snowboard shop, MissBoarder Boutique, at their Grand Opening Saturday, Oct. 18, 10015 Palisades Drive. Doors will open at 9 a.m. leading to a day full of celebration including give aways and door prizes. MissBoarder will carry leading female snowboard brands for on and off the mountain such as Nikita, Roxy and Betty Rides. The MissBoarder Boutique is also proud to carry several Mervin-made female specific snowboards that feature Banana Traction from GNU and Roxy. The grand opening event will carry on over at the 50 50 Brewery and Restaurant starting at 9 p.m. with a snowboard video premier from Runway Films newest film, See What I See. This video will feature an all female line-up of todays most talented and progressive snowboarders.Outbox Records hip-hop group Canto I will take over the party and perform into the evening. The Sierra Green Building Association is hosting a Green Building Tour in Truckee Saturday, Oct. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration at the Truckee Donner PUD, 11570 Donner Pass Road at 8:30 a.m. Bus will depart at 9 a.m.See examples of ICF SIP construction, passive solar design, cellulose insulation, Zero-VOC paint, FSC framing, LEED certified construction, solar electricity and solar hot water.
