Business park proposed for airport area
Western Nevada Supply, a large plumbing and electrical store based in Sparks, Nev., is seeking to expand its business.The company is going before the Placer County Zoning Administrator Thursday at approximately 11:15 a.m. to request approval for construction on approximately 47,000 square feet, currently called “Town & County Business Park,” near the Truckee-Tahoe Airport in Truckee.In its application, the Western Nevada Supply is proposing to build four buildings with a 47,000-square-foot footprint. Additionally, the company is asking that 12,000 square feet to be set aside for its own use, and the remaining 35,000 square feet for “service-oriented uses, parking lot and utilities,” according to the zoning commission agenda.The Placer County Zoning Administrator meeting will be held in the planning commission hearing room, at 2900 Richardson Ave., in Auburn.
