INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Incline Village locals Darin Talbot and Chris Talbot are launching Around Tahoe Tours this weekend.

With their new adventure van and storefront in Incline Village, and partnership with Northstar California Transportation, Around Tahoe Tours will feature land-based tours around the lake and to Emerald Bay, as well as Virginia City and other area destinations from the North and South shores.

In addition, they are opening their new storefront in Incline Village on Highway 28 at 899 Tahoe Blvd., Unit C, on Thursday, June 30.

This storefront will be focus on activities, information and a Tahoe tour center, plus a Tahoe fine art gallery and gift shop.

“This is a big deal,” says local award winning entertainer Darin Talbot, aka “Mr. Tahoe,” who has lived with his brother Chris at the lake since 1978. “Finally there will be a branded land-based daily tour company for going around Tahoe and an Emerald Bay Express tour of Tahoe.”

Darin is well-known for his award winning “Around Tahoe” CD Tour that has sold almost 20,000 copies since it was released in 2008, along with his GPS hands-free App on Apple and Android.

“It seemed like a natural progression to go from the CD and App to a guided live experience,” Darin said. “People want to know everything about Lake Tahoe and they truly want to go around it. With our tours they will learn everything they want to know.”

Chris Talbot is one of the most respected and gifted photographers with his business Talbot Photography, and his contribution has taken Around Tahoe Tours to the next level.

“We feel strongly that our tours offer better value, save you precious time, and come with more information and entertainment than any other tour operator,” Chris said. “We also believe that people want to go around the lake and they would rather go on a leisure tour then drive. Plus, we feel people really care about being good stewards and they want to support us in helping alleviate congestion at Lake Tahoe, which is real problem.”

The Emerald Bay Express will run Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays multiple times a day. The Around Tahoe Adventure Tour will run from North Shore on Sundays and South Shore on Thursdays. The Frank Sinatra/Mark Twain/Virginia City Tour will run out of North Shore.
