Denny Anderson appointed to Truckee Sanitary Distric board

Dennis “Denny” Anderson

TRUCKEE, Calif. — At its Oct. 15 regular meeting, the Truckee Sanitary District Board of Directors voted unanimously to appoint Dennis “Denny” Anderson to serve on the board.

Anderson was selected to fill the vacancy created when long-time director, Robert W. “Doc” Affeldt, DDS, died on Sept. 6.

Anderson joins Nelson Van Gundy (President), Brian Smart (Vice President), Ron Sweet and Jerry Gilmore on the board. He will serve until the next general election in November 2016.

Anderson, a full-tme Truckee resident since 1976, is a former TSD employee, working there for 26 years before retiring in 2013 as the Superintendent of Operations.

“The board is very pleased to appoint Denny to the board,” Van Gundy said in a statement. “Denny’s experience as a former TSD employee and a long-time resident of the community will be of great value to the district.”
