TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — On Thursday, Oct. 3 the Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation hosted its annual recognition event at Squaw Valley’s Olympic Village Lodge. The event is a celebration of donors, Fellow and Star award recipients and Foundation accomplishments.

Excellence in Education also honored its major donors from the 2012-2013 fiscal year.

More than 200 people attended the event and enjoyed lively entertainment by the North Tahoe High School Jazz Band. During 2012-2013, Excellence in Education funded more than $200,000 in grants to the teachers and programs of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.

The Excellence in Education Foundation was founded 25 years ago as a business / education partnership to enhance public education within TTUSD and strengthen the learning experience for students. For more information visit http://www.exined.org.
