March 14 Good Morning Truckee meeting to feature new leaders
TRUCKEE, Calif. — The March 14 Good Morning Truckee meeting will feature a slew of leaders and public officials who are either new to the Tahoe-Truckee community or are in newer and more-demanding roles
According to the Truckee Chamber of Commerce, the following people will be in attendance to discuss their roles: Rob Leftwich, Town of Truckee, Chief of Police; Jeff Loux, Town of Truckee, Community Development Director; Bill Seline, Truckee Fire Protection District, Fire Chief; Jeremy Popov, Truckee Donner PUD, Administrative Services Manager; Lindsay Romack, Placer County Tahoe Field Representative; and Jessica Abrams and David Tirman, Truckee Town Council Members
Below is a brief breakdown of each person, as provided by the chamber:
Leftwich was recently promoted to Truckee Chief of Police. He has 21 years of experience in law enforcement, including six with the Truckee Police Department in the second-in-command position as Captain.
Loux recently started with the town as Community Development Director. With over 30 years of management and leadership experience, Loux has a long career within the fields of planning, environmental and land-use policy.
Seline took over as chief of Truckee Fire last year. Seline has been with the TFPD for 18 years, serving as Deputy Chief since 2011. He started with the as a firefighter paramedic and has over 30 years of combined experience in EMS and administrative management.
Popov has been with the TDPUD for just over a year and is responsible for the district’s business administration, finance and accounting, customer services, and community facilities district management. Popov is a Truckee native.
Most of the community know Romack as “Lindsay with an A,” one of the former voices of 101.5FM KTKE Truckee Tahoe Radio. She recently made a change and is now serving in the community in a different capacity as the Tahoe Field Representative for Placer County Supervisor Jennifer Montgomery.
Two new Truckee Town Council members were seated late last year following an uncontested election. Jessica Abrams has lived in Truckee since 2001, holds a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner working in private practice here in Truckee. David Tirman has lived in Truckee since 2000 and is the Executive Vice President with JMA Ventures responsible for management of real estate development initiatives in the Lake Tahoe area.
Good Morning Truckee is open to the public and held the second Tuesday of every month at Truckee Tahoe Airport from 7-8:30 a.m. Ticket price for general public is $12; Truckee Chamber members are $10 and includes a hot breakfast and raffle ticket.
