Monday discussion in Truckee: ‘Fostering an Entrepreneurial Mindset’

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Tahoe Silicon Mountain Tahoe Silicon Mountain next week will welcome Kylie Rowe to present: “Fostering an Entrepreneurial Mindset.”

Since opening its doors in the University of Nevada, Reno, College of Business in September 2014, the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship has built an interdisciplinary program spanning across the campus and out into the community.

The goals of the Ozmen Center are to inspire idea creation, facilitate entrepreneurship courses and support the innovation and new enterprise that drive economic growth.



Rowe, assistant director at the Ozmen Center and president of the Graduate Student Association at UNR, will discuss successes and challenges during the first year of operation at the Ozmen Center.

Tahoe Silicon Mountain’s meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Pizza on the Hill in Tahoe Donner at 11509 Northwoods Blvd., Truckee.

A $5 fee includes pizza and salad. Before and after Summit’s presentation, there will be time for networking with other technology professionals who live and work in the Tahoe-Truckee region.

The event will also be livestreamed by Sosu.tv and available online as it happens.
