TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce recently announced nominations for its annual awards, to be presented at the 62nd annual Dinner and Pandora’s Auction on Oct. 15 at the Resort at Squaw Creek.
Each year, businesses and individuals are nominated by their peers. The Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors the reviews nominations and decides winners in 10 categories: Small Business (1-10 employees), Small Business (11-49 employees), Large Business, New Business of the Year, Revitalization Award (small and large), Hospitality, Excellence in Government, Non-Profit of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.
This year, more than 100 people, nonprofits and businesses were nominated among the 10 categories.
The theme of this year’s dinner is “Live-Work Play Truckee.”
“Truckee is a community composed of bright people who live and breathe the ‘work hard, play hard’ philosophy,” chamber officials said. “It is a place where people and business can thrive, attracting entrepreneurs and individuals who bring innovative, sophisticated ideas and knowledge with them.
“The medley of Truckee locals includes the ambitious young to the freely retired – all who seek adventure and at the same time, a relaxed lifestyle.”
Cost for attending the Oct. 15 dinner is $90 per person before Oct. 10; reservations are required and seating is limited.
Table sponsorships are available. Reservations can be made online at http://www.TruckeeAwards.com; there, you can view the full list of nominees.
