Mountain Hardware and Sports acquires Truckee Rents

TRUCKEE, Calif. — On Friday, Dec. 4, Mountain Hardware and Sports President Doug Wright announced that the acquisition of Truckee Rents had been completed with the close of escrow.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Truckee Rents to our family. Truckee Rents has been a staple in the community for over 40 years and we plan to provide the same great service and quality products that have been offered throughout their tenure,” said Wright. “When we learned that the owners of Truckee Rents intended to retire and sell, we immediately knew that the melding of these two businesses would be not only beneficial to us but to the community at large.”

Mountain Hardware and Sports intends to retain the Truckee Rents name as well as the variety of rental equipment, repairs and parts along with plans to upgrade and expand the fleet in the coming years.

As part of the acquisition, Truckee Rents will also continue to be a Honda Power Equipment and Husqvarna dealer with Honda equipment also being offered at Mountain Hardware and Sports’ Donner Pass Road and Blairsden locations.

Truckee Rents is located at 10410 River Park Place in Truckee. Visit truckeerents.com to learn more.
