Next Brand Truckee meeting set for Wednesday

TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce is holding the second of three Community Workshops this week to engage the community in the development of a Truckee Brand.

The meeting is set for Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Lodge at Tahoe Donner at 12850 Northwoods Blvd.

The chamber recently announced the hiring of the Keith Design Group to develop and conduct a branding process and analysis, and development of a new website.

The start-up cost is estimated at $150,000, with $75,000 provided by the town of Truckee through its Economic Development Support program, and the remainder raised by the chamber through local business and district contributions.

A third workshop will be held Sept. 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Glenshire Clubhouse at 15726 Glenshire Drive. All workshops are open the public.
