North Tahoe seminar: How to plan, produce an effective event
KINGS BEACH, Calif. — A free small business seminar, “How to Plan and Produce a Successful Event,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 8-9:30 a.m. at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach.
The seminar will focus on event planning steps, including developing a manageable event idea, creating a work plan, obtaining partners and sponsors, recruiting and retaining volunteers, adhering to a budget, marketing your event, and lastly, how events can benefit your business and community as a whole, according to a news release about the event.
It’s sponsored by North Tahoe Business Association and Charter Business and is geared toward beginning and intermediate event planners, although all experience levels are welcome.
NTBA staff members Joy Doyle and Tily Morrin will lead the course. Complimentary continental breakfast is provided to those who register before Friday, Jan. 30.
