TRUCKEE, Calif. — On Monday, Vail Resorts announced the appointment of Nadia Guerriero as the vice president/general manager of Northstar California Resort.

Guerriero replaces former Beth Howard, who earlier this year accepted the Chief Operating Officer role at Beaver Creek, one of the company’s Colorado resorts, after serving as Northstar’s leader since 2014.

“Northstar is an extraordinary mountain within the Vail Resorts family with countless opportunities. I’m excited to work closer with our incredible talent across the mountain and help take the team and the resort to the next level,” Guerriero said in a statement. “One attribute that makes our resort exceptional is the incredible Tahoe-Truckee community support. I’m thrilled to continue building strong relationships with all of our community partners, who are essential to our success.”

Guerriero started with Northstar in 2007, most recently serving as senior director of base area operations, village and events, according to a news release.

“Over the last nine years at Northstar, Nadia has played a key role in transforming and elevating guest service, safety and village operations,” added Pete Sonntag, senior vice president and the chief operating officer of all Vail Resorts’ Tahoe resorts, in a statement. “She brings significant industry experience and a deep understanding of Northstar operations that will benefit both the resort and the greater local community.”
