Parasol Tahoe foundation welcomes new Chief Financial Officer
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation last week announced the appointment of Cari Gutheil as Chief Financial Officer.
As CFO, Cari will maintain the financial integrity of the foundation by ensuring financial records and investments are managed within the policies and procedures developed by the Board of Directors.
“It is an honor to join Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, an organization that has been positively enhancing the lives of those in the Tahoe community for so many years,” Gutheil said. “My goal is to provide financial stewardship, with accountability and transparency, allowing the Foundation to continue its fiscal support of the quality programs provided by local non-profit organizations.”
Gutheil joins the foundation following a distinguished career at IGT in Reno. Most recently she has served as the Manager of Treasury Operations, overseeing global cash management and investing.
Raised in Los Altos, Calif., Gutheil holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with a Concentration in Accounting from University of California at Santa Barbara, and is a Certified Treasury Professional.
“We are very pleased to have Cari assume the financial and reporting responsibilities for the Foundation,” said Claudia Andersen, Parasol CEO. “She brings expertise and enthusiasm, having over 20 years of financial and accounting experience as well as serving as a board or committee member for multiple local non-profit organizations.”
Gutheil and her husband enjoy raising their daughter in the beautiful and active Tahoe community. They plan to spend more time spent skiing, boating and biking around Incline Village this summer.
