The staff at Quality Automotive and Smog in Truckee recently completed over 300 hours of advanced and technical training in 2014.

Advanced diagnostics, hybrid technology, electrical/electronic systems and diesel technology are just some of the classes this highly trained staff attended.

As today’s vehicles become more complex, automotive repair becomes more complicated,” said owner Bill Greeno, who purchased the shop five years ago.

“It takes not only a certified technician, but one who is also keeping up with technology,” he said. “Customers demand good service behind the counter, too, so our team attends customer service and communication courses as well.”

Greeno also was named a leader in the industry by Ratchet and Wrench in 2013, and he was recently hired by the Institute for Automotive Business Excellence as a trainer/consultant for repair shops across the country.
