Social media workshop set for Wednesday in Truckee

Staff report

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Social media accounts for more than one in every four minutes spent online, according to studies.

That is a huge window of opportunity to promote your business; but in a world of endless social media platforms, it is difficult to know which are best for your business venture.

If you are wondering how “linked in” you need to be, or how to use hashtags, pins, and likes to increase your visibility, then join the Sierra Small Business Development Center on Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Sierra Business Council, 10183 Truckee Airport Road, Suite 202.

You’ll learn not only about the multitude of social media channels available to you, but how to create a strategy that is appropriate for your business and how to maximize exposure to your target customer base.

This is a workshop designed to give you the tools to implement your own social media strategy, bring your computer and join the fun.

For information, contact the Sierra Small Business Development Center at 530-582-5022 or e-mail info@sierrasbdc.com.

Cost to attend this workshop is $45. Visit http://bit.ly/1tlQkw9 to register.
