TAHOE-TRUCKEE, Calif. — It’s that time again! As we move into the Fourth of July holiday weekend and what should be a great summer season, we at the Sierra Sun and North Lake Tahoe Bonanza are launching our annual Best Of North Lake Tahoe & Truckee contest.

We have a community filled with great businesses, great people and great organizations. This contest is designed to celebrate all of you. It is designed to help drive awareness for our local community and to provide all of our readers a chance to recognize the very best our community has to offer.

From the ski resorts, to the restaurants and to all of the businesses that keep our community running, we want to celebrate your success.

Our ballot is live — to vote, please visit Last year we had over 47,000 entries and votes, and we expect to see well over 60,000 this year.

All entries are write-ins, so make sure your favorite business is represented. For businesses who want to help promote their offerings and to help promote their business on the ballot, please email Advertising Director Ben Rogers at to go over marketing options.

Best of luck to all of the great people and businesses! We are looking forward to seeing who is voted the best in our great community.

Winners will be announced in a special Best Of guide, and online, later this summer!
