Winter job fairs | Resorts hiring for 2013-14 winter season
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are hosting their annual Hiring Fair Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The resorts are looking to hire nearly 1,000 seasonal employees for the 2013-14 winter season.
The job fair will be located in the Olympic House at Squaw Valley, offering interviews for a wide range of positions including ski/snowboard school instructors, lift operations, grooming, terrain parks, culinary services, rental services, retail, security, product sales and services, and parking. Opportunities include full-time as well as part time positions. Skiing or snowboarding abilities are not required for all available positions.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply online and schedule interviews prior to Nov. 2, however walk-ins will be permitted the day of the Hiring Fair. Department managers will be in touch regarding interview times. Benefits of working at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows include a season pass valid at both resorts, discounts on food and retail items, complimentary lift tickets for friends and family, and complimentary group ski and snowboard lessons. Additionally, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows employees receive skiing and riding privileges at Sierra-at-Tahoe and 50 percent off lift tickets at Alta, Snowbird, Aspen, Snowmass, Jackson Hole, Mammoth and Whistler Blackcomb.

Sugar Bowl: Sugar Bowl-Royal Gorge is holding its annual job fair on Saturday, Oct. 19 in the Coldstream Room at Judah Lodge, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Positions are open in many departments, from terrain park, hotel, food and beverage, and more. Managers and supervisors conduct interviews, with many positions on site for exceptional candidates. Sugar Bowl employees enjoy free unrestricted season passes, discounted tickets for friends and family, 50 percent off food, discounted lessons and rentals, and more.
