Calm, cloudy and slightly warmer

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE ” Calmer conditions although still rather cool will return today. While there will be a fair amount of cloudiness at times today, the winds will be relatively light.

Expect highs today to warm up into the lower to mid 30s with some upper 30s to near 40 in the warmer lower elevations such as Markleeville and Woodfords with near 30 in the higher elevations.

A flurry is possible but not likely and mainly north of Truckee over the Sierra. For tonight, clearing skies and light winds will allow temperatures to drop into the lower teens around Truckee with upper teens to mid 20s elsewhere with warmer temperatures in the typical warmer spots on the North and East shores.

Some patchy freezing fog and low clouds may develop around Truckee and over Lake Tahoe toward Thursday morning. There is the possibility for more snow to arrive by the weekend but at this time, it does not look too exciting. More information on the potential as we get closer to the weekend.
