Caltrans to close lanes on Hwy 89 near the roundabouts Monday
The California Department of Transportation is alerting motorists to expect the north and southbound No. 1 lane closed on Monday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Highway 89 near the Truckee roundabouts.
Caltrans will install median barriers at the columns that support Interstate 80, located in between the roundabouts on Highway 89. The barriers are a safety device to protect the freeway piles and lessen the impact in the event of a traffic collision.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to be alert for equipment and workers on the roadway.
