Cannibal Cruise will roll into Truckee July 7

The Truckee Optimists Club Cannibal Cruise will glide into town again on the weekend of July 7-9, with a fleet of classic cars and street rods, and events for the whole family.

Commercial Row downtown will be closed from 1 p.m. to at least 11 p.m. for the Rock n’ Roll Street Party, which kicks off the weekend’s events.

Below is a schedule for the weekend.

Friday, July 7

– Car registration at Truckee Regional Park – noon to 7 p.m.

– Commercial Row closed for Rock n Roll Street Party – 1 p.m.

– Classic Cars allowed on to Commercial Row – 3 p.m.

– Karaoke and games downtown – 4 p.m.

– Karaoke finals – 6 p.m.

– Back In Time performs at Rock ‘n Roll Street Party – 7 to 11 p.m.

Saturday, July 8

– Car registration at Truckee Regional Park – 8 to 10:30 a.m.

– Senior breakfast at the Truckee Regional Park – 8 to 10 a.m.

– Show and shine – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

– Judging – noon to 3 p.m.

– Craft fair – all day

– Music, fun and games – all day

– Barbecue – 4 to 7 p.m.

– Car cruise (From park to Historic Downtown Truckee and back) – 6 to 7 p.m.

– Sock Hop featuring Papa Clutch and the Shifters – 8 p.m. to midnight

Sunday, July 9

– Senior breakfast at the Truckee Regional Park – 8 to 10 a.m.

– Poker Run (last out at 10 a.m.) – 8 a.m.

– Show and Shine – all day

– Craft fair – all day

– Music, fun and games – all day

– Award Ceremony and Parade of Winners – 1 to 3 p.m.

– Car raffle – 3 p.m.
