Cash stolen from McDonald’s

Staff reportsTruckee McDonald’s employees had early morning surprise over the weekend, when they showed up to work and saw the fast food restaurant had been burglarized.The suspected burglary occurred sometime between Friday at 10 p.m. and Saturday at 4:55 a.m. at the McDonald’s on Deerfield Drive. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the restaurant’s safe.Preliminary investigation by the Truckee Police Department has shown that the suspect or suspects entered the building through an unlocked door. The department sent evidence at the scene to the Department of Justice to assist in the identification of the suspects.The investigation is ongoing, and if anyone has information on the burglary, call the Truckee Police Department at 550-2323.
