UPDATE: Chain controls dropped for eastbound I-80

Chain controls are in effect Tuesday morning for Truckee-Tahoe highways. Visit Caltrans for more information.

Update 10:55 a.m.:

All chain controls have been dropped on I-80, according to a tweet from Caltrans.

Update 10:15 a.m.:

Eastbound chain controls have been dropped on I-80.



For westbound I-80 traffic, chains are required on all vehicles except four-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all four wheels from the Donner Lake Interchange to 4.7 miles west of Kingvale.

Update 9:20 a.m.:

For eastbound I-80 traffic, chains are required on all vehicles except four-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all four wheels from Kingvale to Truckee.



For westbound I-80 traffic, chains are required on all vehicles except four-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all four wheels from Truckee to 4.7 miles west of Kingvale.

Chain controls have been dropped for Highway 267.
