Chain controls have been lifted on I-80 and SR 20.

UPDATE 8:22 A.M.:

On Interstate 80, chains are required on all vehicles except four-wheel-drive vehicle with snow tires on all four wheels from Nyack (Placer County) to the Donner Lake Interchange (Nevada County).

On State Route 20, chains are required on all vehicles except four-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all four wheels from 6 miles east of Washington Road to the Junction of I-80 (Nevada County).

UPDATE 7:23 A.M.:

On Interstate 80, chains are required on all vehicles except four-wheel-drive vehicle with snow tires on all four wheels from 2.1 miles east of Baxter (Placer County) to the Donner Lake Interchange (Nevada County).
