Check out college in Truckee Oct. 16

Sierra College and the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District are sponsoring a College Night on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Truckee High School cafeteria. There will be representatives from over 20 colleges and universities from California and Nevada. Representatives will be available to answer questions about programs, degrees offered, campus life, projected expense, dorm opportunities, sports programs and other areas of interest.

This evening is a unique opportunity for parents and students to explore programs and universities without traveling all over California. By previewing these colleges they will be able to narrow their search for future visitations.

This promises to be the largest event of its kind that our area has seen in years. Students from all grade levels will benefit by attending College Night. Students in grades eight through 12 are particularly encouraged to attend and either begin or solidify their college search.

A large turnout will assure that colleges return next year. Please share this information to help guarantee a successful evening.

Those with questions may call Cindy Flores at Sierra College: 550-7538.
