Clarke, Connie Penn

Connie Penn Clarke, a 24-year Truckee resident, passed away peacefully at Tahoe Forest Hospital on May 8. She was 69 years old.

Clarke was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Satillo, Texas, to mother Jessie Dillon and father Horace Dillon. The family later moved to California, where Clarke attended Marysville High School and Long Beach Junior College.

After college, she lived in Lakewood, Calif., for 29 years before moving to Truckee. She is survived by her husband, Foster Clarke of Truckee; Debbie Bevins of Kings Beach, Jim Bevins of Loyalton, Calif., Mike Clarke of Eureka, Mont., Stella Higginbotham of Verdi, Nev., and the children of her first marriage: Bruce, Of Stockton, and Darrell, Craig and Doug, all of Las Vegas, Nev.



Visitation services will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Truckee Tahoe Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, also at Truckee Tahoe Mortuary on Church Street, with burial services to follow.
