CRYSTAL BAY, Nev. — Jackie Flynn has emerged as one of the funniest and most talked about comedians to come out of Boston, joining the ranks of Steven Wright, Denis Leary, Lenny Clarke and Jay Leno.
He has quickly parlayed his success as a stand-up to firmly establish himself in the film and television arena.
So it should be a pretty funny show next week when Flynn takes the stage at the Crystal Bay Casino.
The comic performs at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the North Lake Tahoe venue.
Early on in his career, Jackie was discovered on stage in Boston by the Farrelly Brothers, who have since cast him in back to back roles in “King Pin,” “There’s Something About Mary,” “Me, Myself and Irene,” “Shallow Hal” and “Stuck on You,” where he played opposite Cher.
He can also be seen in Disney’s hit movie “The Game Plan” and the hugely successful movie “Mall Cop” with Kevin James as well as in “Hall Pass” with Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis.
Fans of the hit show “The Kings of Queens” will also recognize him from his many appearances.
More recently, Flynn can be seen in the popular Barclays commercial with Phil Mickelson, where he plays the guy cheating using the “Footwedge”!
He can also be seen in the new “Three Stooges Movie” playing an incredulous golf course superintendant, as well as a teacher opposite Kevin James in the movie “Here Comes the Boom.”
