The Truckee Noon Rotary Club is accepting applications from non-profit organizations to host the silent auction at next year’s annual Crab and Pasta Feed.
Each year the Truckee Rotary selects a local non-profit to run the silent auction at the annual Crab and Pasta Feed. The organization selected will receive all proceeds raised. Previously, groups have earned anywhere from $4,000 to $10,000 for their cause. The event will be held on March 14, 2008 at the Truckee Community Center, where Rotary will provide both the venue and bidding audience.
Potential candidates will be asked to present at the Truckee Rotary board of directors meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2008 for final selection. All interested non-profit groups must submit a letter to the Truckee Rotary board by Dec. 31. Letters should include the name of the non-profit organization, a request for consideration and an explanation of what the organization does for the community. The letter should also communicate to the Rotary the organization’s capability to secure donated items and set up and run the silent auction.
