The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency announced Friday that the governing board will not give final consideration to the agency’s Community Enhancement Program until February.

The board’s decision on which program applicants would win approval was formerly slated the board meeting later this month.

The delay will give agency staff more time to study the concepts and prepare recommendations to the board.

Staff will also use the time to refine the requirements and gather more information on the redevelopment concepts submitted by the nine applicants throughout the Tahoe Basin.

While the agency’s advisory planning commission and governing board will still receive an update t the January meeting, action will not be taken until the following month at a meeting on the South Shore.

The governing board will weigh whether to award such commodities or incentives as additional commercial floor space, tourist accommodation units and modifications to height and density requirements, at the Feb. 27 meeting at the agency board room in Stateline, Nev.
