Christmas Eve with Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church

Artists and musicians in Truckee have had a hard year. Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church is supporting our Truckee local musicians in an online Christmas Eve service. Nine local Truckee musicians will be featured in a service of Candlelight and Christmas Carols. “This has been a difficult year for our musicians,” says Lori Breuch, President of the Church Council. “So many of our Truckee concerts and restaurant venues have had to be closed because of COVID. We wanted to support our local musicians.”

The service will feature local musicians including guitarists Robbie Gade, Lorelle Banzette, Ryan McKenzie, and Sheldon Felich; the duo of Robert and Emily Bousquet; as well as sopranos Yvonne Logan, Miriam Hoffmann and Bridget Stockham. The service will conclude with a beautiful rendition of Here We Come A’ Caroling by the Truckee Community Chorus.

“We believe that in this season of giving, it’s important to give back to our local music community,” says Pastor Jeanie Shaw. “It will truly be a service for the community by the community!”

The Christmas Eve service will be online and can be streamed through their website beginning Dec.24, Christmas Eve.
