Congressman Tom McClintock to stump Saturday in Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. and#8212; Congressman Tom McClintock will hold an open town meeting this Saturday morning in South Lake Tahoe.

The event will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, in the Gold Gym at South Tahoe High School. No RSVPs are necessary.

McClintock, a Republican in his first term, represents Californiaand#8217;s 4th District, which comprises El Dorado, Placer, Nevada, Sierra, Plumas, Lassen and Modoc counties.

He has served in the California Assembly and California Senate and was a candidate for governor in the 2003 recall election, finishing third. He was also a candidate for lieutenant governor in 2006, losing to Democrat John Garamendi.

Most recently, McClintock voted against the comprehensive health care legislation passed the House 219-212 Sunday evening. The bill was signed into law by President Barack Obama on Tuesday.
