Controlled burn today on backside of Donner Memorial State Park

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; From 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday there will be a controlled burn coordinated by Calfire on the backside of Donner Memorial State Park in the Cold Stream Valley area.

Chelsea Fox, public information officer for Cal Fire, said Wednesday morning the size of the burn will be 23 acres and divided into three different plots.

Other supporting agencies are California State Parks, Placer County Air Pollution Control District and the U.S. Forest Service.
