Cooler today then gradual warm up into Friday

Cooler air will filter into the area as a dry cold front moves south across Nevada today and winds shift to the northeast.
Highs today are forecast to reach the mid 40s under sunny skies and northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. This cooler and dry air mass will allow overnight low temperatures to dip into the single digits to teens around the lake early Thursday morning.
A little warmer temperatures are expected Thursday as the flow turns more westerly allowing afternoon temperatures to rise back near 50 around the lake under mostly sunny skies.
Longer range models are forecasting a stronger westerly flow to break through the high pressure ridge this weekend for a change to cloudy and mild conditions. Stay tuned to see if this westerly break through will herald the start of a wet pattern beginning next week.
