Crash closes southbound lane on Highway 28

A vehicle crash closed the southbound lane of Highway 28 in Incline Village on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a Cadillac SUV went off the roadway and into an embankment just south of Lakeshore Boulevard.

The vehicle’s one occupant was airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV.

“For as right now, the lane is still closed. It should be cleared in the next hour or so,” said NHP Public Information Officer Matt McLaughlin.
