North Tahoe Crime Logs: Drunk females break into home to eat cookies & drink wine
Below is a selection of incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s press log for Sept. 1-12. The Sierra Sun publishes crime logs for the Tahoe portion of Placer County as they are provided by PCSO. These logs for August were emailed to the Sun on Nov. 10. People arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
2pm, 2000 Block Chalet, Tahoe City: Sometime overnight an unknown suspect forcibly entered a victim’s residence and stole $6,500 of personal items.
9:30am, 3000 Block West Lake Boulevard, Homewood: Two incident reports taken in two days for a civil issue between a water company and residents.
3pm, West Shore, Tahoe City-Tahoma: Unknown suspect has stolen four “job signs” along the West Shore over the past four months.
6pm, 800 Block North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Female suspect shoplifted $100 worth of makeup from a local business. Charges are pending.
2:30am, 100 Block Tiger Tail, Olympic Valley: Two very intoxicated females walked into victim’s house without knocking and proceeded to drink the resident’s wine and ate her cookies. Both suspects were taken into protective custody for public drunkenness. Victim wishes to press charges for trespassing.
5:30am, 200 Block North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Unknown suspect broke into a business, stole the cash register and over $2,000 in tools and supplies.
8:30am, 100 Block Observation, Tahoe City: Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect threw two large rocks at victim’s house, breaking a window and two chairs inside.
7:15pm, 700 Block River, Tahoe City: Sometime overnight an unknown suspect broke into a business and stole $2,000 worth of tools and supplies.
6am, 8700 Block North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: After receiving a report that a suspect threatened to kill his mother, suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
7pm, 8300 Block North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: Female suspect was witnessed stealing a cellphone case from a business.
12am, 200 Block North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Male subject was contacted while sitting in an idling vehicle and determined to be driving under the influence. Subject was turned over to CHP.
1:30am, 200 Block North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Another male subject was contacted while sitting in an idling vehicle and determined to be driving under the influence. Subject was arrested for suspected DUI.
3:30am, 100 Block Alpine Meadows Road, Tahoe City: Male subject was arrested for public intoxication. During a search, the male was found to have cocaine in his possession.
1:30pm, 8200 Block Cutthroat, Kings Beach: Pursuant to an argument that ensued over selling a vehicle, one male subject hit the other male several times. Report taken for battery.
11pm, 9800 Block North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: Deputies responding to a noise complaint for the second time took a belligerent male subject into protective custody for public intoxication.
10am, 6900 Block North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: Unknown suspect stole two of victim’s tires from his vehicle sometime overnight.
2pm, 2900 Block Polaris, Tahoe City: An adult male student was cited for possessing marijuana and tobacco on school grounds.
