Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for May 1-15.

May 1

A male was cited and released for trespassing after being warned, in the recent past, to stay off the property in the 700 block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City.



A male was turned over to the California Highway Patrol for suspected driving under the influence in the 1700 block of West Lake Boulevard.

May 2



A female turned herself in on an outstanding Placer County warrant. She was cited and released.

May 3

A male was arrested for driving a vehicle without a driver’s license and possession of a methamphetamine pipe in King’s Beach.

May 4

An unknown suspect took a victim’s wallet from the fire pits in the 13000 block of Ritz Carlton Drive in Truckee. The wallet was later located, but $176 in cash was missing.

A male subject was cited and released for driving on a suspended license in Tahoe City.

May 5

A male was arrested for stealing a family member’s bicycle, violation of a court order and possession of a methamphetamine pipe in King’s Beach.

May 6

An unknown person stole $16,00 in personal items from an unlocked vehicle in Tahoe Vista.

An unknown suspect stole a kayak in the 6400 block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista.

May 7

A male was pulled over for tinted windows and was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol in the 3200 block of North Lake Boulevard. The male was subsequently turned over to the California Highway Patrol.

May 8

A report was taken for battery between two intoxicated brothers in the 5000 block of Gold Bend in Truckee. One suffered a broken nose. No prosecution desired.

An unknown suspect stole $4,300 worth of fishing and boating equipment from a boat that was parked at a residence in the 800 block of North Shore Boulevard in King’s Beach.

May 9

During a traffic stop it was determined the female driver was not licensed and was in possession of methamphetamine. The male passenger was wanted out of Nevada for a parole violation. Both suspects were arrested without incident in King’s Beach.

May 10

An unknown number of suspects stole items and later returned to the store and tried to get a refund, but were denied by the store manager in the 100 block of River Street in Tahoe City.

An unknown suspect cut a lock on a kayak and paddleboard, and stole the items in the 1900 block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City. The items were valued at $2,400.

A male was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license and displaying false tabs on in his license plate in King’s Beach.

May 11

An unknown suspect stole contractor’s tools from a job site in the 3900 block of Belleview Avenue in Homewood. The tools were valued at $1,800.

An unknown suspect unlawfully entered a victim’s home in the 600 block of Brassie Avenue in Tahoe Vista, and stole $15,000 in designer handbags and cash. The following day it was discovered an adult high school student was in possession of some of the stolen items in his backpack and was arrested.

May 12

An unknown suspect stole a generator from a woman’s garage in the past month in the Homewood area.

May 15

A male was arrested for public intoxication in the 300 block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City.
