Incline Village crime log: Caregiver presumed intoxicated, children placed in protective custody

The following are select incidents from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office press log for Incline Village/Crystal Bay for Oct. 6-12.

OCT. 6

Deputies responded to a 9 a.m. report of graffiti along the 900 block of Incline Way. Deputies report the graffiti was cleaned up by the Sheriff’s Office work crew.

A 35-year-old male was stopped for traffic violations and arrested on charges of allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance after failing a field sobriety test, according to deputies. The report was taken around 8:06 p.m., on State Route 28 at Country Club Drive.

OCT. 7

Following an 8:50 p.m. traffic stop along State Route 431 at 625 Mt. Rose Highway, deputies report arresting a 25-year-old female driver on charges of allegedly driving under the influence, after failing a field sobriety test.

OCT. 9

At 9:16 p.m., deputies report conducting a welfare check of two minors on Bidwell Court. Upon arrival, deputies report discovering the caregiver they presumed intoxicated. Deputies report the children were placed with responsible adult and the case was forwarded to Child Protective Services.

OCT. 10

At 4:56 p.m., along Tahoe Boulevard near Winding Way, deputies report stopping a 22 year-old male driver for registration violations. After conducting a field sobriety test, deputies determined the driver was allegedly driving under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance. The driver was subsequently arrested.
