Incline Village Crime Log: Driver cited for running red light, hitting sheriff’s vehicle

Below are select incidents from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office press log for Incline Village/Crystal Bay for Aug. 25 through Aug. 31.

AUG. 25

At 12:07 a.m., at the intersection of State Route 28 at Red Cedar Drive, deputies reported arresting a man for allegedly driving under the influence, following a traffic stop.

A man was arrested around 8:39 am, after running a red light in his vehicle at the intersection of Tahoe and Village boulevards and hitting a Sheriff’s Office vehicle. According to deputies, the Sheriff’s Office employee sustained minor injuries.

AUG. 27

A fraud report was taken following a 7:39 a.m. report from the 800 block of Alder Avenue, in which a doctor’s DEA number was used to fill false prescriptions at multiple pharmacies, according to deputies. No suspects have yet been reported in custody.

A victim, claiming around 2:33 p.m., at Incline Beach, filed an online report that a phone and sunglasses valued at more than $1,000 were taken off a blanket at the beach, according to deputies.

Aug. 29

At 6:51 p.m., in the 800 block of Donna Dr., Deputies took a report for Burglary and Grand Larceny when during the process of moving out, a paddleboard, camera and lenses were stolen from a house.
