Incline Village crime log: Incidents of suspicious people photographing juveniles, girls
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Below are select incidents from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office press log for Incline Village/Crystal Bay for Aug. 4-10.
At 11:05 a.m. in the 900 block of Tahoe Blvd., a person attempted to deposit some counterfeit $100 bills that he possibly received from a casino payout.
At 12:26 p.m. on the lake near Sand Harbor, a shuttle driver called in a sinking boat. Fire, deputies and IMA responded and were unable to locate. It is believed a boat was listing when the occupants all gathered to one side.
At 9:37 p.m. in the 900 block of Tahoe Blvd., a male driver was arrested for DUI.
At 10:48 p.m. in the 100 block of Country Club Dr., a taxi driver was paid with a declined credit card. Deputies located the passenger and she provided a good credit card for the fare.
At 9:55 a.m. at the Incline Substation, a resident who had been contacted by Placer County came in to file a report for Petit Larceny. A delivery to his residence was found in a suspect’s vehicle in Kings Beach.
At 3:34 p.m. at the Incline Substation, a member of the work crew preparing for gas line replacement felt he was nearly hit by an irate driver who sped by him. The parties spoke and the matter was settled.
At 4:41 p.m. in the 800 block of Southwood Blvd., deputies responded to check on a suspicious person photographing juveniles in the area.
At 5:29 p.m. around the area of Southwood Blvd. and Oriole Way, several citations were written for parking in a “No Parking” zone.
At 7:43 p.m. in the 500 block of Jackpine Lane, deputies responded to a Burglary-in-Progress call where a person heard noises and believed someone was in the home. It was determined to be unfounded and nothing was out of place or missing.
At 10:19 p.m. at a residence in Jeffrey Ct., Deputies responded to a Family Disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.
At 1:18 p.m. in the 800 Tahoe Blvd., deputies took a report of a Hit and Run with no known suspect.
At 5:16 p.m. deputies responded to Memorial Point where two girls who were sunbathing observed a male subject photographing them. He was in his work uniform and driving a work van, but left the area when the girls confronted him. The girls’ parents were notified and the suspect was tracked down by deputies and interviewed.
At 1:38 p.m. in the 900 block of Incline Way, deputies responded to a call of a past-tense fight.
At 4:20 p.m. at the Incline Substation, a report for Threats was taken. How to obtain a Protection Order was explained to the victim.
At 8:27 p.m. in the 1300 block of Moritz Ct., Deputies responded to a past-tense accident. The suspect damaged a neighbor’s deck and said he would fix it. He did not live up to his end of the agreement, so deputies took a report and the insurance information was shared with the victim.
At 11:57 p.m. at Village Blvd. and Juanita Dr., a male subject was stopped for a driving infraction and found to be DUI. He was arrested for DUI Alcohol, First Possession of Marijuana and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
