Incline Village crime log: More graffiti removed from walls near state line

Below are select incidents from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office press log for Incline Village/Crystal Bay for Oct. 20 – Oct. 27.

OCT. 22

At 8:30 p.m., Sheriff’s inmate work crews responded to the area of Stateline and removed graffiti from several walls. Photographs were taken of the graffiti and follow up will be conducted.



Deputies stopped a pedestrian near stateline, walking on the wrong side of the road around 4:20 p.m. According to deputies, officers discovered the subject to be a missing person from Oakland, CA. Deputies report the man appeared to be healthy, but advised them he did not want to speak with his family at the time. He was subsequently removed as a missing person.

Deputies report arresting a stranded motorist along Stare Route 431 and Sheeps Flat around 7:40 p.m. During a warrants check, deputies report the subject returned with a warrant out of Reno prompting the arrest.

Deputies located an intoxicated male subject walking in the roadway around 11:13 p.m., along the 900 block of Incline Way. Subject was unable to care for himself, according to deputies, and was arrested for on charges of alleged public intoxication in a roadway.

OCT. 25

At 1 a.m., in the 800 block of Southwood Boulevard, deputies made contact with what they described as a suspicious man loitering in the area. Following an investigation, deputies report the subject returned with two warrants for his arrest. The man was taken into custody and transported to Reno.

Responding to a destruction of property report, deputies arrived at a location along the 800 block of Southwood Blvd. around 1 a.m. to find an alleged intoxicated subject who had reportedly broken a window to the reporting parties residence. The subject was arrested for destruction of property, according to deputies.

At 11 a.m. in the area of State Route 28 near Sand Harbor, deputies stopped a motorcyclist who was observed riding reckless. The rider was arrested on an outstanding warrant and traffic violations, according to deputies.

Deputies conducting a 6:54 p.m. welfare check of a 9-year-old male along the 900 block of Incline Way discovered the man adult watching over the child was suspect of being intoxicated and found to have an extended protection order. The man was arrested and the child was placed with Child Protective Services.
